Rick Wakeman & David Paton: Merlin the Boston Magician

Sempre dal live con David Paton, Wakeman interpreta (assieme al bassista): “Merlin the Boston Magician”, famosissimo brano del tastierista tratto dall’album “The Myths & Legends of King Arthur & The Knights of the Round Table” del 1975. Anche stavolta si mantengono sonorità classiche rispetto al pezzo in studio

  1. Thank you for posting! This performance is gorgeous, it respects all the amazing themes within the composition while doing away with all the cheese of the original.

  2. I did not know david paton was so good on the guitar and bass! I thought he was a voice only plucked away from candy singing pilot..ho ho ho it’s magic…you know…But this is a great duo…Wish David would sing some the other Rick Wakeman stuff from journey to the center of the earth and Myths and Legends…as he has those sometimes horrid and sometimes ok off key singers..instead of this great great voice….oh well…strange bedfellows when he could have had anyone….Great stuff here…thx

  3. How can such a nice bloke [grumpy old men etc.] be such a good musician – probably the most versatile key board player ever produced by this country – if occasionally a bit flash! :) But in in the nicest possible way…

  4. Semplicemente sublime. Grandissimo brano e grandissima rilettura dello stesso.

  6. Such a beautiful and magical piece. I’ve always admired Rick Wakeman.

  8. Una de mis melodias preferidas. Excelente musico y compositor. Saludos!!!

  9. One word: Fantastic! It must have been the late 80′s by looking at the keyboard equipment. Damn! The synthesizers used to sound so great in those days! Today, too many idiots (including myself) use synthesiers. In Wakeman hands, this all sounds simply amazing!

  10. Yo me pregunto…Este enviado del infierno no sufre de tendinitis o algo por el estilo?

    Grande Rick Wakeman!!!

  11. Thanks for sending me this Sue…you ladies are very clever finding all these clips…keep “em coming
